Pistol is a 3 and warranty service is a 4. Quite accurate and fun to shoot 'plinker'. I had a couple of problems with the gun over the years but Pheonix arms was excellent with addressing them.

At first I was a little disappointed with the fit and finish of this gun, then I remembered the price I paid for it... When I first opened the box, it actually looked used. The nickel finish is unimpressive, and for some reason comes covered in grime. A quick once over with a silicone rag took care of this. Also, to anyone who buys this gun, AVOID taking it apart at all costs! This little pistol has the most frustrating field strip of any firearm I have ever encountered. It comes apart easy enough, but putting it back together requires three hands. Shooting impressions: Incredible for the price. The trigger is a crisp single action, and is actually fairly similar to my main summer carry gun ]sig p238[, which is awesome. The grip size is also very similar to the sig, and if I puchased the flush magazine ]it comes with an grip extender on the single mag provided[, I could actually use the same grip. The accuracy is very impressive, capable of 2 groups at 7 yards unsupported ]on my better attempts[. There were only 2 malfunctions ]FTF[ in 100 rounds of blazer .22''s, and both of those occurred when my friend held it with a weak one handed grip. This is a perfect plinking gun at a price you would realistically pay for a range toy. If you carry pocket pistols, this is your PERFECT practice tool.

A very good price for a plinking pistol. You need to fire allot of rounds through the gun to improve reliability. I found the gun fairly accurate at 10 & 25 yds and just as accurate than a comparible Taurus or Walther model if you are using a 3 in barrel. The gun will not compete with a Ruger or S&W target pistol, but the price will. The safeties will take some getting used to, but as an owner you will find more about the gun and what to do about it. The company maintains a full warrentee for the life of the gun and will repair or replace a defective pistol. This is just a fu n gun to shoot and the Rangemaster Kit is just a novelty in itself.

I''ve had mine for several years and I love it. I use the short barrel for CCW and the long barrel for around the house. I filed the corner off of the saftey slide, by the magazine release, because I thought it was DUMB to have to have a weapon on safe to remove the magazine. And I still DO!!!

Good little pistol
By 2ndshot

Rating: Good little pistol
The pistol handles well over a range of applications, but the take down and cleaning is tedious. Changing the interchangeable barrels requires a third hand, something I would not want to do in the field. Overall, the pistol is accurate and has given me very little trouble.

Sweet little shooter. Just got back from the range. My best group was just under two inches at 10 yards with two hand grip. Cycled flawlessly shooting Remington Thunderbolts and CCI copper plated hollow points. Hammer will come in handy for second try on FTF''s. Good fit in the hand. Clean trigger break. Nice looking, quality craftsmanship. Fun to shoot.

I received my Phoenix Model HP 22A in about one week. Took it out to the range and shot a couple of 2 inch groups at about 10 yards. I used CCI Velocitor copper plated hollow points and Remington Thunderbolt round nose lead. I had 2 FTF''s using the Remington rounds. Blame both on the ammo. Otherwise the HP cycled flawlessly. It is a nice looking, well made pistol. Comes with cleaning supplies, even ear plugs and a locking case. You get a lot for your money and fun to shoot.
