i have had this pistol for about 3 weeks and have put about 750rds through it and aside from the occasional misfire ]thats just rimfire ammo[ and the very rare fte ]well the shell stovepiped[ and ive only had 2 of those, it is a flawless performer and on a brand new gun having almost no issues during the break-in period is great, i had quite a few problems breaking in my henry ar-7 but they cleared up after about 1000rds, so function gets 5 stars, now the gun looks great too kind-of like a walther ppk, so form gets 5 stars. now lets talk fit i have medium hands and even though my little finger rests on the underside of the magazine it is still a great fit and with the extended grip magazine a shooter with very large hands would find it comfortable, i added a houge handall jr grip #18000 ]approx $10[and that makes this good grip great!!
now lets talk price for the deluxe kit that comes with pistol,3 barrel,5barrel, 1 standard mag,1 extended grip mag, pistol lock, cleaning kit with patches brushes and oil, and a locking hard case that it all comes in for how much? $200!!!! cant be beat oh and the lifetime warranty ] not that youll need it[
i have shot all sorts of 22lr pistols like the
walther p22 a $400 gun that looks great and comes with quality control issues and reliability problems so they break and are costly to fix, and a trigger pull that breaks like a wet noodle, the hp22 beats it hands down,
the sig mosquito another $400 gun, no quality problems like the walther but like the p22, the trigger is terrible like two pieces of gravel grinding together, wich kills accuracy, the hp22 beats it hands down
now the browning buckmark and the mkii ruger anywhere from $250-500 both are good guns i prefer the buckmark because of its crisp clean trigger pull, but both are accurate and very reliable with loads of aftermarket parts like triggers and sights but i just cant get over how ugly they are and i like things that are asthetically pleasing and to me niether of those are attractive in that way, so id say the hp22 has them beat but not by alot the look is the only thing holding those guns back in my book
there are lots of other 22lr pistols out there, i just compared the hp22 to the 22lr pistols that i see the most and have shot quite a bit. i belive the hp22 is the best gun all around a range buddy and i shoot clay pidgeons at 50yds he uses a ruger with a trigger job or a stock buckmark and i use my hp22 with the 5 barrel, they are equally accurate.
well the crisp trigger the great looks the loads of extras and the great price make the phoenix hp22 deluxe rangemaster kit a great gun for even the most demanding of shooters, i would reccomend it to anyone who wants a reliable high quality pistol that they can enjoy for many years and many thousands of rounds
