The 5" barrel creates sufficient back-pressure to operate the slide mechanism. Most ammunition cycled successfully as opposed to the finicky nickel plated 3" barrel. The black version also doesn''t have the plating problems of the nickel version. Overall a very good pistol for the money.

Great pistol and price, Delivered as promised. It''s sturdy and accurate with either barrel. I put about 500 rounds thru it so far and other than an occasional misfire (cheap ammo issue), no problems other than a couple of jams early on which were easily fixed by polishing the feeder ramps with a dremel. Took about 3 minutes to smooth, Not one jam since. No need to modify the mag safety as some say, it''s simply not necessary. Taking it down or changing barrels are no problem either if you keep it oiled and clean it properly, just like any other gun. It is really a fine and fun little gun. I definitely recommend it for price and quality.

I purchased this little gun after hearing good reviews. I am very pleased with this 22 as I had no problems with it and it is fun to shoot. I recommend this gun to any one. Good product and a excellent value.

So far I have only used the 3 barrel, After shooting 50 rounds, I really like this gun just shoot at targets. it has a very strong trigger pull and is very heavy in weight, hence kicks very little but is loud for a 22. Shooting at different distances I find the gun very accurate if you take your time and aim and squeeze slowly it goes where you point it, even at 75ft. The ten round clips are difficult to get the last round squeezed in. I read a lot about the safety issues but after reading entire manual, I didn''''t find the safty issues a problem for me. There is a trick to inserting the keyed clip safty, read the manual it explains how. I like the box it comes in and all the cleaning stuff too. After 50 rounds it hasn''''t missed or jammed. The one thing I woud want to change is the heavy trigger pull it very stiff. I gave it a 4 star because of the price, the fun of shooting, the size of the gun and the accuracy. I like the the way it looks and shoots too.

Nice little gun. I bought both the 3" barrel (HP22A) and the kit with the 3" and 5" barrel. I have done a little shooting and have been quite happy with the little guns. Very compact. I don''t have a lot of experience with small pistols, but in my opinion this little gun seems to work well and do what it was made to do! MBM

not real happy about it.the magazine won't stay in for the 2nd. time. i will have to send it back and have them fix it......again. i don't think i've shot it more than 5oo times......junk
